No experience necessary. Drums available or bring your own. All ages,
cultures and abilities welcome. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Come
early for an introduction to world percussion and rhythms, stay for the
in-the-moment, music-making magic!
$10-15 includes use of drums (sliding scale--pay what you can or suggest a
barter/trade, no one turned away).

A special night of drumming for our sisters, mothers and daughters. A
little bit of instruction and away we will go on a facilitated rhythm
journey to places unknown. A great way to find your “voice” on the drum,
connect with others, release stress, and have so much fun you won’t
believe it.

About the Facilitator...
Jeni Swerdlow is a dynamic and engaging percussionist, drum
facilitator, artist, educator and performer. She is a Registered Art
Therapist (ATR) with over 10 years of experience working creatively
with groups and 15 years of experience working with youth and people
with special needs.
Jeni is the founder of Drummm programs, which feature drum circles,
workshops, school programs and performances to a vast array of
communities and venues. She has been introducing drumming to
professional, educational, therapeutic, cultural and recreational
communities and events in the U.S. and abroad with overwhelmingly
positive results.
Jeni has studied West African drumming, dance and drum circle
facilitation extensively, including training in Senegal, West Africa.
Bringing enthusiasm and creativity to any event, Jeni is sensitive to
the needs of the group and able to work with people of all ages,
backgrounds and abilities. Jeni’s passion for drumming is matched only
by her playful spirit and commitment towards building community.
